These workshops are filled with fun as we create beautiful wreaths using freshly harvested ingredients from our flower farm, plus you'll be treated to drinks from our coffee bar and festive treats served to enjoy as you create your wreath.

On the day

We'll be looking forward to your arrival at Origin which is located just outside Ballymoney, close to the village of Finvoy.

Directions

On arrival you will easily spot the Origin coffee bar where the Christmas workshops will take place. You'll be greeted by one of our team after parking. You will then enjoy a of creating beautiful wreaths while enjoying good food, drinks and lots of fun!

This has been a bit of a week, covering and uncovering crops. Not much snow here thankfully.

Seedlings are popping up and there's buds on the ranunculus, all will be ok!

Have spent the week power washing, having bridal consultations and planning next weekends workshop ☺️

It will soon be time to be picking these again. 🎉❄️🌸

Remembering this spring wedding bouquet from last year with cute, tiny, highly scented daffodils and stocks and eucalyptus.

Imagine the scent.

Can't wait to see all these little daffs again. Literally just around the corner. They add so much to arrangements, come back every year and smell incredible. Love em 🧡

What a stunner of a day! Got stuck into the perennial bed, moving them all somewhere new. Been putting it off for ages so yey.
They all have growth on them ready for the new season. I've released a YouTube video with info on my top perennials. Pictured here is achillea. One of the best.

Tis the season to watch things grow. Every day things edge closer to bloom. Looking around the polytunnel there's a couple of flowers in bloom but mostly green.

In the next few weeks the tulips are going to burst open and this will seem like a distant memory. I'm enjoying it all.

February gives time to get dahlias split and potted, new beds built, perennials moved, polytunnels cleaned etc etc
Then the flowers come 🥰

Got the call today, the new dahlia tubers are arriving this week. Very exciting. Can't wait to be cutting these beauties again 🧡

Out tonight doing a talk about Origin and sustainable flowers. Doing a bit of a demo on foam free mechanics and using ingredients that are in season. Let me tell you, there's a lot of beauty in February. Picked so many gorgeous foliages around our site. Different textures, colours and leaf shapes make for interesting seasonal designs.

Sunday inspiration. I can almost smell the stocks. Scabiosa, phlox, echinops and the queen - cafe au lait dahlia. There are stocks in the polytunnel already. A one hit wonder so they don't get too much space but the colours and scent are stunning.
